The statue was unveiled at the grand opening. I’m told it was a wonderful event. I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful staff behind the counter at the starter station. I think some people have a favorite starter.
The new clubhouse is open and fully functional. It’s a wonderful building and facility and it looks like it’s built to last. Everyone seems completely pleased. I certainly am. The excitement is palpable. The new clubhouse is expected to be open on December 22nd, 2008. Everyone is ready for a new clubhouse. Meanwhile, the course is in good shape. Things seem to be coming together. I’m looking forward to posting photos of the finished clubhouse.
Again, there were workmen busy on the weekend. They were pouring the concrete for the driveway. The work continued after sunset as we sat having beers at Campsite 19. Not much to report except that the construction guys were working on a Sunday. Are they working 7 days a week? It was too dark for us to finish our round this week but I did have an eagle on 13. The ball went in from about 130 yards after a fortunate bounce.
The progress continues. Many of the cosmetic touches seem to be in place. I was playing in the Turkey Shoot today so I heard people saying to expect the new clubhouse to be open just after the new year. I’d really like to get some photos inside but I don’t know if anyone will let […]
As always, the construction progress continues at a steady pace. As you can see, some of the finishing details are coming together, like the stone surfaced walls.
